Park Guell is another of Gaudi’s bizarre but beautiful creations, overlooking the city with countless fascinating pockets to explore, including the architect’s former home. Gaudi also designed some impressive homes for others, including La Padrera, where helmet like chimneys decorate a roof that sits atop a Gaudi exhibit in the city’s attic. Casa Batllo is another Gaudi gem, where the hypnotic nautical facade hides an endlessly innovative, yet always functional interior.

Football fans, you have not been forgotten! FC Barcelona is one of the world’s most hallowed pitches and a day at Camp Nou will allow you to walk in the boot-steps of Maradona, Ronaldhino and others as you embark on a tour. The day ends with an impressive show at a flamenco tablao, along with a buffet dinner showcasing 33 distinctly Mediterranean dishes.
